Collection (Manual & Dynamic)

A collection displays a compact list of multiple related items like articles or events. The list links each item to its original source.

This component is based on USWDS.

How to author:

In the DA menu, go to Library > Blocks > Manual Collection.
Edit the image, link and description for each item. To update an image, select it and then drag a new image from your desktop into that area.
To add or remove items, add or remove rows from the table.

Dynamic Version

This component is utilized in a component that dynamically pulls in page data from the index to populate the component

How to author:

In the DA menu, go to Library > Blocks > Dynamic Collection.

A max of 3 items will be shown
Trade out the url of the search-index.json for the search-index of your site.
- You can reference indexes from other sites (ensure the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header is in place). This allows creating feeds from other sites with results that link to that other site.
Search Box and Pagination MUST be no or null for this component to work
Choose the display order by modifying sort-key
- lastModified: Order by the last modified date
- publicationDate: Order by the publication date (must be set in the page metadata under publication-date)
  - Date must be authored in Full-Month Day, Year - Time am/pm format
- relevance: Order by a fuzzy search
If you only want to show results within a certain page set, you may order by a specific tag that is authored within the metadata of the displayed page
To add or remove items, you must edit the metadata of the page you want to display
